BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Chairman - Professor Emeritus Clément Imbert ORTT

Professor Imbert is currently the Chairman of MIC Institute of Technology (formerly Metal Industries Company Ltd); a member of the Board of Governors, of the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) and Vice President of the Princess Elizabeth Centre. Professor Imbert has received several awards, among them are: the Career in Excellence in Engineering (the highest award of the APETT); the UWI Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence; the Chaconia Gold (as a member of the team that developed the G-Pan); the TTBS World Standards Day Award for Outstanding Contribution to Standards Development and the Gold Award for Excellence in Science and Technology by the National Institute for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST).

On Republic Day 2023, Professor Imbert was awarded the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (ORTT), the nation’s highest award for his contributions to the nation’s innovation, steelpan technology, education and culture and the arts.

Deputy Chairman - Mr. Keith Toby

A former Corporate Secretary and General Manager, Corporate Services at MIC-IT, Mr. Toby presently serves as the Deputy Chairman of MIC-IT. As a proponent for Volunteerism, he is intimately involved in the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) and was a foundation Member of the TTT Stewardship Foundation, an NGO formed to assist at-risk youth.

Director - Mrs. Angela Reneaud-Lewis

Mrs. Angela Reneaud-Lewis was the Head of the Legal Unit of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development from 2005 to 2014, which operated under various incarnations. As an Attorney-at-Law, she also holds certificates in Multilateral Environmental Agreements; Public Procurement Law and Practice; FIDIC Contracts; Competition Law and Policy and Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Director - Mrs. Gail Sooknarine-Ragoo

Mrs. Gail Sooknarine was the General Manager-Operations for VENTURE Credit Union Co-operative Society Limited for the period 2004 to 2016. She subsequently served as Deputy Director-Corporate Services and acted as Director at the Children’s Authority of Children and Tobago for the period 2017 to 2020 before joining the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service in 2021 as an Advisor to the Minister.

Director - Mr. Delvert Edwards

Mr. Delvert Edwards hails from Tobago with a background in Electrical Installation Technology. He is currently employed with Massy Energy as an Instrumentation Engineering Technician III at the Galeota Point Terminal British Petroleum (BPTT) Offshore Facilities.

Director - Mr. Winston Boodoo

Mr. Winston Boodoo, is a registered Electrical Engineer with the Board of Engineering of Trinidad & Tobago. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago (APETT), as well as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He also serves as a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Electricians Association and holds an Electrical Wireman’s license. He is also an advocate for Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, and Tidal), Electric vehicles and plays a lead role by spearheading committees to implement technological initiatives in the introduction of smart cities to reduce our Carbon Footprint.

Director - Mr. Wendell Yearwood

Mr. Yearwood brings to the fore approximately 20 years in Education and Training that include but are not limited to Primary, Secondary, Military and Technical Vocational Curriculum. Prior to his career as an Educator also served in the Energy sector.
With his love for Curriculum and experience gained over his career, he is now attached to the Youth Training and Employment Partnership Program (YTEPP) Limited as a Curriculum Development Specialist. He is also a Co-operator and sits on the Supervisory Committee of Venture Credit Union Cooperative Society as a member.

Director - Mr. Clayton Blackman

Mr. Clayton Blackman is an educator by profession and is a former Commissioner with the Regulated Industries Commission of Trinidad and Tobago (RIC). He is also a former member of The International Confederation of Energy Regulators and served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Organization of Caribbean Utility Regulators (OCCUR).
Mr. Blackman’s direct involvement with administrative organisations includes being a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC); a former President of the National Basketball Federation of Trinidad and Tobago (NBFTT) and a Past President of the National Association of Administrative Professionals of Trinidad & Tobago (NAAP).
