Overview
The Industrial Craft Programme is designed to provide trainees with skills in various occupational areas including Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, Auto and Diesel, Bookbinding and Print Finishing, Construction Carpentry and Joinery, Dress Making and Design, Electrical Installation, Food Preparation and Culinary Arts, General Draughtsmanship, Jewellery, Machine Shop, Plumbing, Welding and Tailoring.
The Programme provides industry-ready graduates with the necessary skills to enter the world of work fully competent to perform their chosen occupational field. Graduates can also move into higher level programmes at MIC and other tertiary level institutions or be self employed.
Course Duration: Full Time – 2 years
Entry Requirements
- At least 3 CXC or GCE passes including Mathematics and English
- A Science Subject will be an asset.
Certification
National Examination Council (NEC), Trinidad and Tobago National Vocational Qualification (TTNVQ) Level 2 Certificate and a Craft Certificate awarded by MIC.
